We welcome International Students to Campus Clinic and endeavour to be a safe, caring and friendly place for International students to access health care for themselves and their families.
We recognise the financial, social, language and cultural difficulties that International Students contend with and the limitations of their Health Insurance packages. We do our best to help Overseas students access timely, low cost medical care while they are in Australia.
We directly bill BUPA, Medibank Private, NIB and Alliance for GP consultations at Campus Clinic.
Students with other insurance cover are charged an amount equivalent to the Medicare rebate, which should be fully reimbursed by their Insurer.
Please note that for hospital care, pathology and radiology services, most insurers provide financial Reimbursement only for new conditions which arise within the first year of the policy. Alliance has a policy which covers preexisting conditions from day 1. It is possible to change your insurance policy after arriving in Australia, if it does not provide the appropriate level of cover for your circumstances.
Campus Clinic has no financial or other relationship with any Health Insurance Company including BUPA. We are not able to influence the medical services or level of renumeration that these companies provide.
Campus Clinic receives no financial support or subsidy from the University of Wollongong.
